Sharing with you an update about Central Presbyterian Church’s participation in the Apostle Build which begins in September. We are currently in the funding stage of the project, raising money to cover the $55,000 for the sponsorship fee for the Build. Central has been most generous in contributing over $5600 to the amount. Your contributions are most appreciated and very kind. To date, the 13 churches comprising the Apostle Build have contributed over $43,000. So, we still need a little more to reach $55,000. If you wish to contribute to the Build, you can still do so. Please make your check out to Central Presbyterian Church and indicate Apostle Build in the memo line.
In regards to the home build construction schedule, the roof raising is planned for Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00am, and everyone is invited to come. Central will be participating in the actual build on Saturday, October 14 and Saturday, October 28. We are tentatively scheduled to paint on the 14th and work on lock sets and finish trim paint on the 28th. We will need at least 5 volunteers each day, and will be paired with another church that will also have some volunteers present. Sign-up sheets will be available in the back of the church at both services on August 6 and 13.
