Central is an “Orange” church, which means that we intentionally partner with the home. Yellow (the church, the light) and red (the home, the heart) create orange which is an even greater influence in the lives of the next generation. We believe that parents are the primary Christian educators for their children. We desire to partner with them by giving them resources and experiences that will assist them in instilling faith into their children.
(Ages 2 – 4; Kindergarten; and Grades 1 – 5)
Kid Central meets Sundays at 10:00 a.m. in the Kid Central room, the big orange room on the second floor of the Education Building.
In Kid Central, we believe the Bible should never be boring and that worship can experienced in many ways. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits in to their lives, to learn how to talk to him, and to build friendships that will last. Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these three things stick:
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
(Children in Grades 6 – 12)
Youth meet Sundays at 10:00 a.m. in the Youth Room on the second floor of the Education Building.
At Central Presbyterian, we know that relationships are important to tweens especially as they explore and grow in their faith. One of our goals is to help students develop a strong faith so that it can help them make good choices especially when dealing with social pressures from peers. In class and even when just enjoying time together we encourage them to be open with their questions, to listen to each other, to care for each other and to seek guidance from the Bible. Our curriculum centers around topics that are relevant and important to today’s youth and how those topics intersect with faith.
