Here’s what these teams do:

Back-to-School Jubilee
Contact: Jennie Sylva

Minister to the less fortunate in the community by shopping with 20 children (K-5) from Miller Elementary School, to provide much-needed clothing and school supplies.

Christmas Jubilee

Contact: Chip Goldsberry

Provide an opportunity for the less fortunate in the Lafayette community to experience a Merry Christmas through Central’s generosity.

Emergency Aid

Contact: Jennie Sylva

Provide emergency assistance to persons in financial emergencies in the community; usually up to $40 for rent or utilities.

Habitat for Humanity

Contact: JoAnn Martin

Plan and promote participation in Central’s efforts to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

International Missions

Contact:

Coordinate efforts to involve Central in a trip to provide housing for a family in Juarez, Mexico, working with Casas Por Cristo.

International Visiting Pastor

Contact:

Organize a three-week visit for an international pastor to participate in Central’s community life in September of 2001.

Local Missions

Plan, promote and participate in local community service activities in the Lafayette community.

Mission Budget/Grant Writing

Contact:

Oversee the distribution of Central’s funds for mission in the community, nation, and world.

National Missions

Plan, promote and participate in mission trips around the U.S., involving members and friends of Central.

Playground Improvement

Work on Central’s 8^th Street playground to make it more inviting to Central’s children and the children in our neighborhood.
