Here’s what these teams do:

50-Year Member Recognition

Contact: 

Plan, promote, and execute worship-related celebration to honor Central’s newest 50 year members.

Congregation Visitation

Contact: 

Provide caring support and listening by visiting Central members and friends in hospitals, nursing homes, and their homes.

Congregational Letters

Contact: Laurie Kuhn

Coordinate production, signing and mailing of letters to support and encourage members and friends of Central experiencing joys, difficulty, illness, or other unusual circumstances.

Flower Delivery

Contact: 

Deliver flowers displayed in worship to shut-in members and friends of Central.

Funeral Receptions

Contact: Laurie Kuhn

As requested by families, provide and serve refreshments to create a warm, caring environment in which the family can share condolences and memories.

Grief Support

Contact: 

Minister to and provide support for those who are grieving the death of loved ones, by reaching out with empathy and creating an environment of absolute confidentiality.

In-Home Eucharist

Contact: Chip and Carolyn Goldsberry

Accompany pastors to help them administer communion to persons shut-in at hospitals, nursing homes, or their residences.

Meals for Members

Contact: Ruth Goshorn

Provide food for members who may be unable for a short time to provide their own meals or need the support of their church family.

Parish Nurse

Contact: Cheryl Houghton

Provide a vital link between the faith and medical communities in caring for the physical, spiritual, and other needs of Central’s congregation.

Shut-in Writing and Calling

Contact: Mary Ellen Lovell

Maintain contact with Central’s members and friends who are shut-in, through phone calls and letters.

Stephen Ministry

Contact: Rick Snow

Stephen Ministers are caring, confidential, trained lay persons who offer long-term one-on-one care in our congregation.
