Ministry at Central
Central Presbyterian Church believes that all people have gifts to offer in support of the cause of Jesus Christ. Firmly committed to lay ministry (the ministry of the people in partnership with the pastors), Central offers many opportunities for people to serve Christ through the church. More than 85 different ministry teams work to support Central's ministry. Organized into "clusters" of ministries with a similar focus, the teams of Central Church help us to extend the influence of God in the church and the community. The table below contains general descriptions about the purpose of Centrals ministries. The three categories of ministries (Discipleship, Connections, and Operations) may help to focus your search. From there, you may want to look through the ministry groupings (or "clusters" for example, Administration Ministries or Welcome Ministries) for teams that you want to explore as potential places of service. For more information about the "clusters" and the teams themselves, follow the links below:
In addition to the teams listed with the links above, each ministry cluster also has a Vision & Planning Team. These teams provide support and accountability for the ministries within the clusters. Comprised of Centrals officers and other people interested in seeing the
ministries succeed, the Vision & Planning teams ensure that communication occurs
within the cluster. They also provide the forum for considering new ministries and
offer opportunities for collaboration among teams.
