Providing On Going Christian Care
Central Presbyterian is a Stephen Ministry congregation. We have a number of lay caregivers (called Stephen Ministers) who have been carefully trained to provide one-to-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. Stephen Ministers help our pastors and congregation by providing quality caring ministry for as long as people need it.
Taking the Time to Listen, Pray and Support
Our Stephen Ministers will reach out to those who seek support and provide:
- Quality, Christ-centered, confidential care for their hurts and needs.
- Support that allows the individual to find hope, healing and a new sense of self-worth.
- Ongoing care for continuing needs long after the onset of a crisis, when many others have forgotten about them.
- A glimpse of God’s unconditional love through a caring, nonjudgmental, one-on-one relationship.
