Worship at Central Central offers an upbeat, contemporary
Celebration! service at 9:00a on Sundays. Families with
children, newcomers, and those interested in a more interactive, high-energy
experience may find that this service meets their needs. For more information
about this service, please follow the Celebration Central link.
Children in Worship We encourage children to participate in worship with their families. Congregation participants should feel free to keep infants and children in worship with them. Childrens bulletins appropriate for ages 3-6 and ages 7-12 are available from the ushers. Ushers have pads of scratch paper for the children for drawing or coloring. We also provide childcare (through age 5) in the east wing, first floor, of the Education Building, if parents choose to worship while their children learn and play elsewhere. Before Worship ***Prior to Celebration! at 9:00a, we serve a light breakfast of fruit, juice, yogurt, and other finger foods in the Celebration! area in Central's red brick building at the corner of Seventh and South. Participants are welcome to stay seated at the dining tables or to move closer to the front during this informal service. ***(Note) Celebration Breakfast is on a hiatus for the summer. Hot beverages will still be provided, but the full continental breakfast will not be available. Breakfast will start up again in the fall and is in need of volunteers. Please contact the church office (742-8481) if you would like to help. We also invite everyone to join us for coffee and visiting from 10:30-11:00a in the Fitch Parlor, near the 7th Street lobby entrance to the Sanctuary Building. This time for "meeting and greeting" takes place each Sunday before the 11:00a worship. After Worship We encourage people to gather in the Welcome Center near the Celebration! area in the red brick building or to participate in the Adult Education options 10:00a-10:45a. Those attending the late morning worship are welcome to stay for coffee and donuts at the Welcome Center close to the Columbia Street doors, at the back of the Sanctuary. In these two places, we welcome newcomers to the church, answer questions, and have time to get to know each other.
